Spelling DooRiddles Review by Lisa Barthuly & Family

The Critical Thinking Company creates some fun and challenging products! Their new Spelling DooRiddles are wonderful for developing critical thinking and reasoning skills.

We reviewed the Spelling DooRiddles for grades 2-3 and 4-6, working on them together, and enjoyed these riddles and the challenge of figuring them out! The 5-year-old then took off in the second-third grade book, and the 8-year-old worked in the fourth-sixth grade book, and - albeit it was a bit challenging - she and I enjoyed finding the answers to these puzzles together!

Spelling DooRiddles are paperback workbooks, 50+ pages, that are a great supplement for added fun to the average spelling lesson! Just a few examples of the puzzles in these books:

I am a cat or dog,
With whom you have fun times;
And if you add an O,
Someone who makes up rhymes.
What am I?

The opposite of lost,
But make the F an R;
I'm what a circle is,
I'm not triangular.
What am I?

With petals red and sweet,
This flower's great anytime;
And if you put P in front,
Writing that does not rhyme.
What am I?

Critical Thinking Company has many products that we've used in the past, and this is another great one! Definite recommendation!
