This downloadable e-book is a penmanship workbook for upper elementary or middle school grades using quotes from different U.S. Presidents. Once you purchase the book, you are able to download it as an Adobe PDF file, which means you must have Acrobat Reader, a free program easily downloaded from the Internet, to open the file. Once purchased, the book's pages may be printed and used for as many children in your family as necessary.
Each page features a quote from a former U.S. President with lines for copying the quote. At the bottom of each page is a portrait of the featured president, hand-drawn by the author--who was age 12-13 when she drew the portraits and compiled this book. You'll have to see it to believe it! The pictures are incredible, and each page is beautifully designed (go to the website to download sample pages). Also included are one or more interesting facts about each featured president. At the end of the workbook is a compilation page of all the quotes used in the workbook, a U.S. Presidents word search, and some "just for fun" trivia questions about our U.S. Presidents.
This workbook is fantastic! This is what I would personally call a "no brainer." If I were shopping in a convention hall or online and came across this product, I would pick it up without thinking twice. It is useful, creative, simple, and helpful. The graphics are absolutely wonderful, and the pages are beautifully designed. This is the perfect supplement for a U.S. History course or a presidential unit study-or to simply use for penmanship.
