As homeschooling parents, we are often too busy to take time for ourselves. One of my favorite pastimes is reading, but with everything else I have to do each day, there’s often no time. If you feel the same way, then Short and Sweet, A Collection of Stories to Encourage Your Heart by Katherine Loop would be a great book for you. This book is made up of short stories that you can easily read in just a few minutes. Each one is a touching tale accompanied by Bible verses, and each is sure to put a smile on your face and give you something to think about throughout your day.
Maybe you have a teenager that just is not interested in reading. If so, this book would be a great one as you could recommend he/she read just one story a day. These stories will definitely help with character development as they focus on things such as having a good work ethic, being cheerful, and learning to serve God in all we do. They would also be good starting points for further discussion and application.
