The book, Strengths Quest goes hand in hand with the Strengths Finder online. It comes with a one-time ID code to be used in conjunction with the Strengths Finder Test or one chooses which strengths they would like to use to develop a portfolio for their specific educational or career needs.
Topics for this book include, but are not limited to: The Nature of Strengths,
Gaining Direction for Your Quest, Affirming and Celebrating Your Talents, and
Further Insights into Choosing a Career. It also goes more into detail about
a person's Signature Themes such as, Ideation, Learner, Achiever, just to mention
a few. With society's economic status changing from day to day I would find it
important to have other career goals in mind. Below are 7 principles that you
could use to make the most of your talents as you seek to develop your strengths:
1. Know your talents.
2. Value your talents.
3. Be inspired by a personal mission.
4. Have healthy relationships to help with development of strengths.
5. Believe in what made you successful and you will be again.
6. Practice your talents.
7. Teach about your talents and you will learn.
With this book
and the complementary program, Strengths
Finder, it would be easier to discover talents that I might not have
tapped into on my current position, thereby, refining what talents I already
have. If I were very concerned about what talents I have and how to build
on them the book price of $30.00 may not be too much to pay. This also
includes a code to use the site and Strengths Finder online site.
