Just A Quilt?, lovingly told by Dalen Keys and beautifully illustrated by one
of my favorite designers, Kim Sponaugle, is one of the sweetest children's books
I've ever read. My daughter Julia read it aloud to me. How easy it was to be
drawn into the words and pictures! A snapshot into a tender moment, the storybook
reveals the bond between mother and son that cannot be broken. Goosebumps broke
out as I looked at the "forehead to forehead" illustration - what a special
moment. Keys and Sponaugle capture that bond well.
The story line revolves around a quilt's true meaning to a little boy, a quilt his mommy made him. It's not just an everyday blanket to him; it's so much more. I love this story and I enjoyed the illustrations just as much. It will enrich your children's imagination and I think your kids will love it.
