Our homeschooled students are in the world, not of it. But that does not require they be ignorant of the world. In fact, they should be wise so they can identify the counterfeit from the truth.

A glance at a typical daily newspaper might contain a mention of a number of religions. Do you and your children know enough about them to be able to discuss them intelligently?

I became even more interested in this area as one of my homeschooled children took a comparative religions class in college. We had lots of great talks, many of them beginning with the statement, "Do these people really believe this?" Together, we had the chance to look at some belief systems and compare them to our faith. How I wish I had this book before she took the class! It would have equipped me to converse in even greater depth.

This colorful book looks at 50 religions briefly but succinctly summarizing basic beliefs, number of followers, major figure/prophets, a short history, the view of God, the worldview and information on worship services and important dates, where applicable.

This handbook should be in every Christian home. We should not be afraid when our children ask questions about other religions. Just be prepared to answer them!
