Here is another great game creation from Out of the Box, the publishers of Apples
to Apples and a few other favorites. Backseat
Drawing Junior is the "silly game of sketchy directions."
A visit from a neighbor and friend gave us opportunity to try out our new game. After a simple explanation of the rules, we were separated into teams, drawing and laughing.
Chelsea, my 14-year-old daughter, characterized the game as creative, fun, entertaining, and hilarious. Moreover, this game makes you think and rethink things you want to say. She also loved the unique design of the cardholder, as it keeps others from cheating.
Here is a review from my son, Ryan, age 12:
Backseat Drawing is an artsy game that I greatly enjoyed. The rules, I think, were a bit confusing--such as how the players choose who does what. Now that I have critiqued, I shall compliment. Any game involving art immediately gets my attention. Overall, the game is definitely one I would buy and play. After sharpening the directions, I would take this game to a party. Though it is about drawing, and drawing well, I think that it would be fun for everyone.
Lastly, don't let the name Backseat Drawing scare you as it did one of the visiting friends, who claims she can't draw. She played anyway, and we still laugh at events that took place while playing. Simple drawings using simple shapes are all you need to do. Everyone who played had fun, so I think we have a new game for our next sleepover. I can't wait to play it again!
