Let's Explore God's World is a unique mix of Scripture, nature study, and messages reminding young listeners to take care of the world God created for us to enjoy. This book is a nice read-aloud for preschoolers ages 3 to 6, and it could also be used as a reader for the early elementary grades. Debby Anderson includes very nice descriptive language about nature and God's creation throughout this sweet picture book. The author also includes Scripture references on each page, which encourages parents to open their Bibles and read to little ones from God's book while reading Let's Explore God's
World.
Our children enjoyed the delightful, full-color illustrations by the author throughout this book. Also, the slightly smaller format made this easy for little hands to explore alone after we read it aloud. I was surprised at the number of interesting and insightful questions our children asked about nature, animals, and different types of habitats around the world as a result of reading this book!
Our family is enjoying this product and using it to teach our preschoolers effectively, and I would recommend it to any family with young children. It's a great way to introduce science and nature study into homeschooling when kids are too young for more formal curriculum. The book doesn't require any additional materials or supplies, but it provides some nice ideas that can be a springboard into fun activities. For example, one of the "green" ideas is to reuse materials from craft projects for other art adventures--perhaps even making art pieces out of items from garage sales!
