Our sons want to do everything their dad does, especially if tools are involved!
Under the Nile has crafted a beautiful and sturdy wooden toolbox filled with
the toy tools every toddler needs in order to follow in his father's footsteps.
The tools include a stuffed toy hammer, saw and paint brush. The Tool
Box is
finished with linen seed oil and has a ruler painted on the side. The soft
tools are made with the finest 100% organic Egyptian cotton to give parents
peace of mind
The owner of Under the Nile, Janice Masoud, launched the company in 1998 with a dream of bringing organic baby clothing into the mainstream. With the endorsement of parents in Hollywood, Under the Nile has become a status symbol, an icon of sorts for the organic movement. Under the Nile products are crafted from Egyptian cotton, carefully picked as a result of Mrs. Masoud's research. Having noticed that her children's skin was sensitive to certain cotton products, she began to research the issue and found that some dyes used on cottons are particularly irritating to babies and toddlers. It is said that the best cotton in the world comes from Egypt, which is certainly convenient, considering Mrs. Masoud's husband is Egyptian.
The Tool Box and tools are rather expensive when compared to plastic
toys you can buy at the big super stores. Admittedly, Under the Nile products
are pricey, certainly due in part to their popularity with celebrities; however,
I have found the quality to be exceptional, with toys and clothing lasting through
several children. For larger families, the extra investment can pay off when
items are handed down. The wooden Tool Box will be a favorite around our house
for years to come; even our youngest daughter has pretended to be a carpenter!
