I had heard of Jim Weiss's wonderful audio books but had never listened to one
until I received Fairytale Favorites and Tell Me
a Story to review. I was very
impressed. Jim has such a special gift for storytelling that I even enjoyed listening
with my children. Old stories are brought to life again with his magic. Mr. Weiss
has a way of capturing a story and making it come to life.
For ages five and up, Fairytale Favorites includes Stone Soup, Puss in Boots, The Shoemaker and the Elves, and Rapunzel. Stone Soup includes the song "Stone Soup," and Puss in Boots includes the song "The Pussycat Rag." For ages three and up, Tell
Me a Story is a sweet collection of timeless classics that your little ones are sure to love. The CD begins with the dear song "Tell Me a Story," sung by Mr. Weiss, which is sure to warm your heart. The stories included are The Bremen Town Musicians (Grimm), Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Things Could Always Be Worse, Rumpelstiltskin (Grimm), The Little Red Hen, and The Hare and the Hedgehog.
Each CD is approximately one hour in length, and the cost is $13.45 each. Mr. Weiss has a wide variety of audio CDs available at his site. You are sure to find something for everyone. My family has really enjoyed listening to these wonderful works of art. They've made a great addition to our collection and will be enjoyed for years to come.
