My boys love games, but they really love a game that they are better at than Mom. Circle Out! is a game they want to play again and again!

Circle Out! is a game for two to four players, age 8 and up. The object of the game is to capture the most circles, and the bigger the circle, the more points you will gain! A circle is a chain of cards where the colors match. Each card has two colored triangles.

To play the game, shuffle the deck and lay out twelve to sixteen cards. Then it is a race to find the most circles and the biggest circles. But you don't grab the cards; instead, when you see a circle, you cry "Circle!" and then you can pick up the cards. Then the dealer lays out more cards and you continue until all the cards are used up. The winner is determined by adding up the score for your circles.

The website, www.circleoutgames.com, has instructions, scoring help, and videos to help you learn how to play! I found the videos very helpful to learn the game. Also, you will find alternate ways to play. One of my boys likes laying out all the cards and playing by himself--sort of a solitaire version. I love the fact that one game has given us so many options of play!

Another thing I like about this game is that it does not involve reading skills. Several of our children have learning disabilities, which puts them at a disadvantage if a game requires reading. But they excelled at this game! I recommend this game as something the whole family can enjoy!
