This book is a devotional of 149 lessons aimed at teens and young adults. Each devotional topic is between 1 and 3 pages long. Each topic relates to a different area of a teen's or young adult's life, including obedience, seeking a spouse, music, dress, having a job, worship, prayer life, and more. The author uses Scripture (KJV) to further his point. Most of the Scriptures are written out, but a few are just referenced.

I am puzzled as to what type of review to give this book. On the one hand, most of the devotions were very encouraging and well explained. I was left thinking, "Wow, every teen should have to read this!" On the other hand, some of the devotions were poorly reasoned, with poor exegesis (critical explanation) of the Scriptures. For example, he believes drinking alcohol is a sin based on a Scripture that clearly refers to being drunk, not to the simple act of drinking alcohol.

To conclude, I have enjoyed some of the other books published by Plain Path Publishers, and for the most part, I enjoyed this book and was edified. So I do recommend it, but I would not hand this book over to my teenager. I would rather do these devotions as a family so that we could discuss these ideas together. Overall, I believe this would be a good book for those with Arminian convictions who like the teachings of D. L. Moody, and the Moody Institute.
