This children's storybook is about Noah and the flood that destroyed the earth. It is told according to Scripture and reminds children that the ark is a picture of God's salvation and love for us. In this story, Teusy, a fictional field mouse, is curious about the ark. So he slips aboard the ark to explore it. The author cleverly uses Teusy's experiences and observations to introduce children to all the people who were saved on the ark, including Noah's sons and daughters-in-law.

As it begins to rain some time later, Teusy returns to the ark with his friend Liz. Then the author weaves in details about their life aboard the ark as the flood arrives, including their little family of mice that are born on the ark! Interspersed throughout the story are Scripture verses from Genesis. There are also simple black-line drawings on every other page to keep younger children's attention. In contrast, there is a very colorful drawing of Teusy and his family leaving the ark under God's rainbow on the last page of the book.

The story is very well written and entertaining! There is a nice timeline for parents at the end of the book. It would make a great read-aloud around the dinner table, a little at a time. However, the 94-page soft-cover, spiral-bound book is not attractively printed. I hope the publisher is able to improve the overall look to match the excellent content. In any event, you won't be disappointed using this story to introduce young children to God's truth!
