This is a free website of learning games. There is a resource
here for nearly every subject and every age group. There are preschool
games about colors, numbers, letters, animals, etc. Under grammar
there are games about punctuation, capitalization, the parts of
speech, etc. Then there are vocabulary games. There are many math
games--from counting, money, and time all the way to pre-Algebra.
There are different levels of geography games to help you learn
the countries and capitals of the world and the U.S. states and
capitals of the United States. There are science and history quizzes
and health games. I was amazed at the number and range of these
learning games.
I consider myself a whiz at states and capitals, so I quizzed
myself (and embarrassed myself on the first round). Of course,
this became a challenge so I played a second round and came out
a little better. Feeling confident, I went for the geography of
Europe where I recently lived and traveled for 6 years. I really
need to brush up! Clearly, I need to let my granddaughter play
these games because she will need to be a little better at this
than I am. I am thrilled to have this resource to make it interesting
for her.
I intend to use the grammar games and the geography games heavily
with my older granddaughter and the math and alphabet games with
my younger granddaughter this year. What a wonderful resource this
is! I highly recommend it. This is a free resource, and I will
just say the quality of it would make it worth paying a subscription
if it were not free.
