This resource is a great downloadable e-book that you can buy
via PayPal for only 9.95. The author has devised a method to save
time and relieve stress cooking for a busy homeschool family. The
first part of the book explains her method, and the second part
contains her recipes. However, she is quite happy for you to use
your own recipes with her method; she has just included hers for
those who want to try them. Her method involves a system for preparing,
freezing, cataloguing, and shopping for meals. She estimates that
once you get embroiled in this method, you will only have to cook
twice a week. As she points out, if you cook 4 lbs of hamburger
when you need only 1 for your current recipe, you can freeze the
other three in Ziploc containers and have only used 1 set of cookware
to prepare 4 meals instead of 4 sets. You can also chop enough
onions, celery, etc. at once to take care of several different
recipes and freeze them in recipe-sized portions. Entire meals
can be prepared x 4 and stored away for quick preparation another
day. Her cataloguing method helps you keep track of what you have
on hand and also provides a handy guide for final preparation and
even for shopping. I am all for things being easier, with less
stress and one-fourth as many dishes to wash. In my opinion, 9.95
is a small price to pay for this much stress reduction. I recommend
this resource to any homeschool mom who is feeling a little frantic
about getting everything done for her busy family.
