Copybooks are one of my favorite things about homeschooling! I
am so happy to be reviewing these products from Homeschooling Down
Under! I am homeschooling a kindergarten-aged child and a middle
school-aged child. Technically, the one in middle school is past
the copybook stage, but I still assign them to her once a week
to keep her mindful of her handwriting skills. She is delighted
whenever we get new material, and she always enjoys the topics
presented.
These copybooks are in a downloadable PDF format and can be purchased
directly from the website for $9.95 apiece. They are available
in Manuscript Print, Italics Print, Manuscript Cursive, and Italics
Cursive. Australian and American spelling versions are the same.
Garden Verse is in Italics Cursive. It contains some
nice poems. I was pleasantly surprised to find one of my favorites
from my childhood: "I have a little shadow that goes in and out
with me." Beatrix Potter is in Italics Print and is perfect
for my little one. It includes "The Story of Miss Moppet," The
Story of a Fierce Bad Rabbit," "Cecily Parsley's Nursery Rhymes," and "Appley
Dapply's Nursery Rhymes." I love the Beatrix Potter illustrations! Aesop's
Fables is in Italics Cursive. It contains 37 Aesop classics.
The illustrations are wonderful! Mother Goose is also
in Italics Cursive. There are 34 favorites here that are so familiar
to any child whose parents regularly read to him or her.
These copybooks are delightful, and I highly recommend them for
all homeschoolers. What a fun way to practice your penmanship!
