I still remember the first lullaby recordings we had for our now fifteen-year-old son when he was a baby. Those songs, played over and over again, have a permanent and precious place in my heart.

Stardust is a two-CD set of lullaby music "for all ages." The 20 songs are indeed soothing and peaceful. Beautiful harmonies are accompanied by soft instruments such as piano, guitar, strings, flute, oboe, and clarinet.

Each song is included twice, once with vocals and once as an instrumental. This is especially thoughtful since words can at times be distracting to sleepy children. The included booklet contains all the lyrics. Listeners will find familiar pieces and new ones; some are new melodies for favorite nursery rhymes or poems. Selections I especially liked are "Little Sir Echo," "White Coral Bells," "I See the Moon," and "For Baby."

Whether new to you or old, these songs are certain to become family favorites. You will not tire of this recording of beautiful, quality music although it may induce well-needed sleep!
