I love this math curriculum! It is clear, concise, and to the
point and has lots of practice drills. This is a spiral-bound paperback
book with 274 pages. It can be used for middle school, high school,
or a general math course in junior college. It is the unvarnished
basics. I was so excited when I saw this book that I decided to
incorporate it with the math program I am already using to add
more drills, word problems and just a fresh perspective.
Although I am using this curriculum as a supplement to another
program, it can certainly stand alone. I would recommend it to
parents who want a good solid math program for their middle school/high
school student. This is basically a workbook, and it contains lots
of illustrations and very clear explanations. Mr. Block is a math
teacher who has refined this process through his years of teaching
math. He has made this course interesting, and that is worth its
weight in gold. I have seen other curriculums that also have a
lot of practice exercises, but I have never been interested in
using them because they were boring. This text looks like fun.
There are even some dot-to-dot pictures with a twist--you have
to solve a lot of equations to know which dots to connect. This
is a very thorough course, and although I do not have any pricing
information to share with you, I feel confident that it will be
well worth the purchase price.
