This game comes in a sturdy box and has quality games pieces.
The game contains a game board, shopping mall, 1 six-sided die,
4 playing pawns, 4 money clips, 22 Bank It cards, 24 store cards,
4 charity cards, 130 coins, and a rulebook. The game is for up
to 4 players and is recommended for ages 6 and up. Our 5-year-old
had a great time playing it, so I would say it would depend on
the child. The adults in the family enjoyed the game just as much
as the little one, and our middle schooler enjoyed it as well.
This is truly a fun game for everyone.
This is probably the most enjoyable "money game" I have found
so far. It was great for our 5-year old because, although she doesn't
read all that well yet, the cards pictured what coins were needed
to pay for each item, so she was able to just look at the picture
and figure it out. I liked the fact that coins were used instead
of paper money. The object of the game is to put $10 in the bank,
buy four items from four different stores, give to a charity, and
then have enough money in your possession to buy a bicycle when
you land on it after all the other things are accomplished. The
game was so much fun the kids didn't know they were learning anything.
The game may seem a little pricey at $34, but trust me--it will
be worth it in the amount of family fun that ensues. I highly recommend
this game for homeschool families and everyone else as well.
