This DVD is very well done and presents the four seasons and birthday celebrations for children ages 2-7. It is totally in Spanish--no English explanations or words--and I found this to be a very good thing. This is what immersion is all about. Fritzi the Mouse has his birthday in the autumn, but Maria and the children explore all the seasons with him until it is time for his birthday. There is nice music--and a lot of Spanish words to learn--in the process as well as wonderful clips of the children enjoying outdoor activities in the various seasons.

My problem with the DVD is that during none of the seasons was any holiday featured until it came to autumn, and then there was a huge emphasis on Halloween. Since we do not celebrate Halloween, I will be unable to use this DVD in my homeschool. That makes me very sad because it is a wonderful DVD. I would have loved to add it to my curriculum. I will look into other DVDs from this company. Hopefully, they will not all have these references in them.
