Passport to the World is a beautiful hardcover book
with 65 glossy pages. It is "your A to Z Guided Language Tour." The
book is set up by languages, with each spread focusing on a different
language/country. For example, on the spread for "Mandarin, a language
spoken in China," there are color photographs of people, money,
objects, and countryside; a map; a flag; statistics; and other
information. There is a little insert that tells how to say hello,
goodbye, thank you, and peace in Mandarin.
In the front of the book is a little pocket that contains a passport,
and in the back of the book are "Passport Stamp" stickers for each
country you visit in the book. These are very high-quality items
that we are eager to include in our geography study.
My granddaughter looked over this book, and she loved it so much.
I had to insist that she not carry it off with her until we got
a chance to use it with our geography lessons. She wanted it in
her personal collection.
I can't say enough good things about this book. It is a "must
have" to accompany your geography curriculum. What a great resource
for homeschoolers! This book sells for $15.99 on the Master Books
website, and I consider that an excellent value for such a valuable
learning tool.
