The Scruble Cube game comes with the cube, a sand timer, a score
sheet pad, and instructions. The cube is reminiscent of a famous
cube game we all enjoyed years ago as well as a very popular word
game. Each segment of the cube has a letter and a scoring number
on it or a notation such as "2X word score." By turning the cube
you can make a caboodle of different words. The website expresses
it thus: " 7.4 x 10 45 (that's 7,401 septillion) possible configurations."
This is a really fun game for 1-4 players. It is just as amusing
to play it by yourself as with others, except for the challenge
of outdoing your opponent(s). This game lends itself to car travel
and waiting in restaurants, as well as schoolroom applications.
Our family always enjoys games that enhance the kids' skills. We
like learning to be fun. This game will find a lot of use in our
schoolroom and in our home in general. It sells for $24.99, which
is a great price for a game that will be part of a permanent collection.
The packaging is not conducive to storing the game, and that is
the only downside. I will put all the pieces in a Ziploc bag for
storage rather than trying to maintain the flimsy box, which is
about half cellophane.
This is one of the most entertaining new word games I have seen
in a while. If you like word games, you will want one of these.
