I can't say enough about this little 180-day devotional book for homeschool parents. It is a paperback book consisting of about 195 pages.

When I first saw this book, I thought to myself, what can they tell me about homeschooling that I don't already know? But as I started to read, I got many fresh perspectives on this journey we call homeschooling. Each section is a thought-provoking look at some of the different situations we face as homeschoolers and some God-perspective on the subject. I am so excited about this book! This one is for me! I love all the stuff out there for the kids, but sometimes we, the parents or grandparents that are doing the homeschooling, need to be fed too.

Here is Day 32: "Being Busy or Prioritizing." This section reflects on our busy schedules and what really matters in the light of eternity. What things on our busy to-do lists will really matter a year from now or 100 years from now? The exhortation is to reflect on Psalm 90.

Here's another one: Day 20 discusses one homeschooler's struggle with learning to read and the parent's struggle not to push it. Eventually, of course, the child took off with reading and loves it now. The exhortation at the bottom, called "Digging Deeper," says, "Max Elliott Anderson, once a reluctant reader, now writes children's books and offers practical help for reluctant readers at www.maxbooks.9k.com."

Please, if you are homeschooling your child or thinking about homeschooling your child, do yourself a favor and indulge in this little devotional for yourself. It will be better than chocolate! There is so much practical and helpful information within the pages of this book. I am delighted to add it to my personal collection.
