Ricky's Dream Trip is a fun book that is educational too. When Ricky is asleep one night, he dreams that his Pop Pop comes into his room and asks if he would like to go on a special trip. They use Ricky's dream imagination and travel into outer space, visiting all the planets in our solar system. Ricky learns about the planets, space probes, rovers, asteroid belts, and much more. There are lots of fun facts in this book, like the fact that Jupiter has over 60 moons and at certain times of the year we can actually see four of through a telescope.

This book is packed with information about our solar system, but it manages to be fun and interesting to a child at the same time. I really loved this book and believe I will use it over and over with my children as we learn about outer space.
