This is a hardcover book of 32 pages with an accompanying song and story CD (45 minutes). The company says it is for ages 2-7.

This book is intended to expose the child to Mandarin Chinese. During the course of the story, you learn greetings, counting words, and other basic words. The story involves Laura meeting her friends in the "magic forest," which was the only downer for me since I am not into "magic." The story line and the songs were fun, and my kids (ages 2½ and 6) found them engaging.

What a delightful way to learn a little Chinese! There is a popular children's animated program on television that teaches some Chinese words, and my children love it. I believe this book is along those same lines and will appeal to most children. This combo sells for $17.95 on the company's website.
