I often find myself wishing I had more time, don't you? Well,
after reading Every Day on Earth by Steve Murrie and
Matthew Murrie, I was amazed at what can happen in just 24 hours!
I bet you didn't know that almost 3,000 miles of Twizzlers are
made, 40,370,000 diapers are changed, and over 20 million Oreos
are eaten every single day! This book is loaded with almost 200
incredibly interesting facts like these and more. This is a book
you and your kids won't want to put down!
Fun facts are categorized by living things, Earth, food, the human
body, pop culture, space, and technology. Categories are marked
by different colors, which make them easy to find. Illustrations
are humorous, and text is written in conversational style, both
of which are appealing to kids.
My boys, who are 9 and 12, devoured this 220-page book in just
a few days. I began Every Day on Earth as a fun family
read-aloud, but when it was time for bed, my boys begged to take
the book with them. They took turns reading it off and on for the
next few days and even brought it in the car. It's the kind of
book that will have your kids exclaiming, "Hey, did you know .
. . ?" They won't be able to help sharing all of the cool facts
packed in Every Day on Earth!
I recommend this highly educational, extremely entertaining book
to third graders and up. Parents won't be able to resist sneaking
a peek as well. I think $9.99 is a great price for a book that
my kids can't put down and are willing to share with friends!
