Hide and Sneak: Underwater Encounters is just one
book in a series about ocean life. This wonderful, captivating
book helps children ages 6-12 years old discover the secrets of
underwater camouflage. How do animals change their appearance and
magically vanish? Children learn about a wide variety of sea animals
that can change color, create smoke screens, and disappear into
a crowd. For example, did you know the elusive Frog Fish can change
their color and texture to match what is near them?
Although this book is published from a secular viewpoint, I didn't
find anything that was contradictory to our own Christian worldview.
In fact, every page provides wonderful scientific evidence of God's
creation and His amazing design. The ability God gave these
fish to creatively camouflage themselves is mind-boggling! This
book and others in this series are great for any kind of oceanography
study. Try reading this book before a visit to the beach
or aquarium, if you want to increase your children's interest in
their trip! Highly recommended!
