Darlene has created a lovely little paperback, of almost 50 pages, on the "how to's" of leaf collecting and preserving that is fun, simple, and inexpensive!

We have gone on countless leaf-hunting expeditions in our family, but with no ideas on preservation that actually worked; we ended up tossing the leaves in the end. Darlene's book will guide you through a preservation process that actually works and gives a beautiful end result!

Darlene walks us through supplies needed (I am thinking every family has these supplies on hand already), tree basics, items to take on our leaf-hunting expeditions for added ease and success, creating an observation sheet, pressing our leaves, preserving them, identifying them, mounting them, and displaying and adding to our collection over the years!

This is a wonderful family or homeschool science project, and you can constantly add to your collection using her method outlined in her book. Darlene used lots of color photos in her book and diagrams to assist us. I can attest the end result is lovely, a definite recommendation!
