This is a book of money games for kids suggested ages 5-12. The book contains 52 games and 19 whole class activities. While going through some of the activities designed for the "whole class", I see that they are not designed for many people, just great learning activities for children. So my classroom of two children will benefit from these activities as well.

Reproducibles are in the back of the book along with a mathematics and Literature bibliography, which lists titles to complement a study of money.

You will need to purchase playing cards and regular spotted dice to begin with this book. If you have old playing cards lying around, you can use those. The cards that you will be using are ace through 9. You will need to use money, real or play, and always have available a pencil and paper.

What I like about this book is the easy to follow format. Each game begins by telling you the suggested grade level, skills being taught, number of players needed, equipment needed, and how to get started. Examples and variations are given for each game as well. The examples are great for me because sometimes I need a visual to "get it". Some of the games could use more examples. This book is also fun to read because there is a small trivia and teacher comments section throughout, with funny jokes and interesting comments about money.

This is certainly a book to be used in my homeschool classroom to liven up my teaching. I would highly recommend this book for anyone struggling to teach money concepts to children and would like some new ideas.
