The Jungle Series by Ron Snell are an exciting picture of missionary life by the son of Wycliffe missionaries to Peru. There are three books in the series Jungle Calls, It's a Jungle Out There and Life Is A Jungle. Our family shared many laughs hearing of his adventures and escapades growing up in the jungle with his family. I was encouraged by his honesty in talking about the ups and downs of being a missionary kid. His parents were busy bible translators and yet he still had a good testimony of joy and family love. They took car trips through the mountains that kept us on the edge of our seats.

As we went through all the joys and tears of our first year on the mission field I appreciated having the reassurance that children who grow up on the mission field, and he was really far out on the field, can still grow up and love their parents, the Lord, as well as having an increased love for people from other cultures. I highly recommend this enjoyable and inspirational series of books for any homeschool family.
