ACT Advantage is a website that you become a member of for $25 a year. The goal is to allow you to rent products to try them out before you buy them. You are able to rent up to three items at a time. The rental price is $7 for the first and $4 for the second or third item.
As a member, you get an email each month with specials for that month. They have contest on the website for homeschooler members. The ACT Advantage library has books, boxed sets, CDs, DVDs, forms, and VHS tapes. About 65 companies work with them to provide products. The website also provides classified ads for members.
My opinion is that ACT Advantage is a very good idea with positive things to offer for the future, and the website is very well done and easy to get around. While I was a member I rented the software programs, and that is a nice way to test software to see if you like it. I really like the whole concept, but my only problem is that it costs a lot of money to use it for movie rental, and the software library is fairly small.
