The foreword, as well as the name, denotes the purpose of this book, which is to renew your desire to seek the Lord, His righteousness, and His calling in your own life. The depth and maturity at which Christie expresses herself is truly God-given.
The study section of the book is designed for teens as an independent study. The questions labeled "For further study" could be used in group settings or just to deepen your understanding of the cohesiveness of God's Word. Study topics include Is God Enough, Failures That Haunt, So You Want to Call It Quits, and many others.
The CD of the same title, Rekindling the SpiritFire, is an outpouring of praise to God in song and music. Of the 12 songs on the CD, Miss Gerschutz wrote 11. Moreover, Christie sings the songs as she plays the acoustic guitar.
These talents are being used to glorify God, which gives hope to parents of teens and soon-to-be teens. The depth of relationship established with homeschooling is also highlighted. The book and the CD are an encouragement to continue on our God given journey.
