This was one of the most interesting and varied history tapes I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. I was not sure what to expect because Diana Waring was new to me. Not only does she have a pleasant voice, but she tells a great story too!

The Romans, Reformers, Revolutionaries tape contains a variety of mini biographies and the story of the Canonization of Scripture. This was no dry story and Mrs. Waring delves into some of the more intriguing facts on how our Bible came to be. She then begins her biographical stories of Prince Henry the Navigator, Cortez, Isaac Newton, and Captain Cook. These were entertaining, informative, and really quite engrossing. They made for a silent car ride (except for the little ones who did not grasp the anticipation we felt and the discoveries we were making along with Prince Henry and Cortez!)

If you are looking for a great addition to your History Alive! program, or any history program, a great history car trip, or for just the pleasure of learning the stories, I highly recommend Diana Waring's, More True Tales. Their company isn't called History Alive! for nothing!
